I'm Luke, a Birmingham-based freelance communications consultant with expertise in media relations, engagement and strategy.

I set up as a freelancer in 2017 after in-house roles at the University of Birmingham, University of Warwick, HSBC, and EE (Orange and T-Mobile) across media relations, internal communications, event management and project management.
I’m now lucky to work with a broad spectrum of clients including academic research groups, large corporates, small businesses, public sector organisations, schools and charities.
I am also open to collaboration with larger communications, PR or marketing agencies. I work alongside national and boutique agencies on a project-by-project basis.
My goal is to create impactful campaigns that have a positive, lasting impact. I believe that there is no such thing as a 'one size fits all' approach to communications, indeed it is often the road less travelled that provides the most satisfying results. I will take the time to learn about your ambitions and provide a service that adds real, lasting value to you.
